1. Connection overview

Basically, the GRP2615 is put into operation by the Seabix technician on site. However, it is important that you are familiar with the various connections on the phone in order to be able to use the phone together with Seabix remote support in the event of a problem or a warranty replacement.

Network connections

Please pay particular attention to the two network connections on the device. The symbol with the computer is used to loop a network signal; we do not recommend using this port. The connection with the 3 screens is the connection with which the telephone is connected to the network. Use this connector.

2. Where does the phone get power from?

The GRP2615 is usually delivered without a power supply unit. Ideally, it draws its power from a PoE (Power over Ethernet) capable network switch. All Seabix switches support this function. The power supply from the network switch simultaneously enables the establishment of a power bridging concept with a UPS (uninterruptible power supply). Ask Seabix Sales if you are interested in this opportunity.

3. Basic overview of the keys

In the accompanying illustration you can see the basic overview of the keys on the telephone

4. Do not disturb button

If the mute key is pressed in the initial state, the telephone does not ring. Use this function only temporarily. If the device is restarted (e.g. power failure, firmware update, etc.) this function is deactivated. Instead, work with the configuration on the system (e.g. direct dialing switches or call diversions). Seabix Support will be happy to help.

5. Soft keys

The soft keys below the monitor are configured by Fixed Line + to uniform values for the entire company. They are not available for independent configuration. In addition, the values change depending on the status of a call.

In order not to impair the system functionality, please leave the first 2 buttons at the top left, next to the screen, free for management purposes.

All other buttons can be configured as follows with a long press. You can then navigate using the silver arrow keys. Finally, choose save.
