Windows Parallels Client

In order to establish a connection with the Seabix MYWORKPLACE, a Parallels connection must be created once.

When opening the Windows Prallels Client for the first time, a window will pop up indicating that there is no connection and asks whether one should be added.

  1. Click Yesto add the connection
    1. If this message does not appear: Right click on Connections> New Connection > Parallels Remote Application Server
  2. Then enter the server address CUSTOMER NUMBER.ras.direct (example 12345.ras.direct)
  3. Connection mode remains on SSL connection
  4. OK
  5. Registration:
    1. Username: Seabix ID (example 3654)
    2. Password: *********
  6. OK
  7. You will then see the connection created in Parallels Client.
  8. You can open the connection properties by right-clicking on the connection.
  9. In the Connection tab you can see the fields configured for the last steps.
  10. In the Display tab you can define how the MYWORKPLACE should be displayed.

Updates to the Parallels Client can cause the connection to be lost. Start at point 1.1 to recreate the connection.

Desktop shortcut

If the desktop link does not appear on your desktop after creating the connection, follow these steps:

  1. Open Parallels Client
  2. Right click on the connection
  3. Create shortcut for all visible applications

If the connection is grayed out, double-click on it to log in. You then have the options for the desktop link.

Mac OS Parallels Client

In order to establish a connection with the Seabix MYWORKPLACE, a Parallels connection must be created once.

add new connection

When the Mac OS Prallels Client is opened for the first time, a window will pop up indicating whether a connection should be added. If this question does not arise, you can add a new connection by right-clicking on Connections .

The new connection is a Rarallels Remote Application Server . The server must then be handed in. If you are not familiar with this information, please contact Seabix support via ticket@seabix.com or +41 58 670 80 90.

After entering the server, you will be asked for the login information. Enter your username and password here.

It is advisable to tick Save password only for personalized Windows / Mac OS profiles.
