Generally

The fileshare client caches the list of cloud folders to improve performance. When visiting the fileshare client, the client requests the latest folder list from the cloud and automatically updates the cache.

failure

Sometimes the cache is not updated automatically and the folder list on the fileshare client does not reflect what is displayed in the cloud.
Certain files can also be incorrectly synchronized or contain errors.

solution

Decision Tree
Select the operating system you want:
  • Windows
  • macOS
  • Add Button

Clean up cache via client

  1. Close all documents related to the fileshare client.
  2. Navigate to the Fileshare Symobil in the Windows taskbar at the bottom right.
  3. Click on the fileshare symbol
  4. Open the menu via the 3 dots and select "Clean cache".
  5. When asked: Really clean up ALL local caches? Choose yes

Clean up the cache via Windows Explorer

  1. Close all documents related to the fileshare client.
  2. Exit the fileshare client via the file symbol in the Windows taskbar at the bottom right.
  3. Navigate to the> C: \ Users \ "Username" \ AppData \ Local folder
  4. Rename the gteamclient folder to gteamclient_backup
  5. Start the fileshare client

If the folder is not displayed, you have to show the hidden folders. here are the instructions:

  1. Open Windows Explorer
  2. Go to "View" in the upper tab
  3. Select "Hidden elements"


Clean up cache via Finder

  1. Close all documents related to the fileshare client.
  2. Quit the fileshare client
  3. Navigate to the folder> / usr / local / gladinet / <loginemail>
  4. Rename the cache folder to cache_backup
  5. Start the fileshare client
