The Festnetz+ web client does not replace the pascom desktop or mobile client, but enables communication with external participants in web conferences via the web browser.
Supported browsers
Best experience in chrome based browsers
While we are working on optimizing the user experience in all major browsers, we currently recommend using a chrome-based browser.
The Festnetz+ web client can be used in your favorite web browser. Currently popular browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge are supported.
Participate in a web video conference
As an external participant in a web conference, you will usually receive dial-in data that can look like this.

Surf to the web client URL with your browser and you will be taken to the start page of the web client.
Enter a name with which you would like to participate in the web conference. This name is also displayed to all other participants.
The web client options
| Select video | Your browser will automatically find installed webcams to take part in the web conference via video. You can of course also deactivate the video function via the drop-down menu. |
Audio through the browser |
Set the audio for the microphone and loudspeaker here. The browser finds all installed devices such as integrated components, headsets and headphones. Simply select your preferred end devices from the “drop-down menu”. |

Audio over the phone |
Change the tabs from browser to phone to join the web conference by phone. Here you need the dial-in number and PIN to receive the audio over your phone. |
The waiting area
The waiting area always appears when a moderator has not yet started the web conference or has chosen to take breaks from the conference.
External participants can hear the music on Festnetz+ for the duration of their stay. The exit symbol takes you back to the web client options.
The web client interface
As soon as the web conference has started, you will get to the web client interface, where you as a participant can use a number of options.
| Enlarge / reduce video areas | Each video area can be enlarged with one click and thus brought into focus. With another click it will be reduced again. This is particularly helpful if you want to see more details, for example during the screen sharing video. |
Chat area |
On the left is the menu for the chat, which you can show and hide. Here all participants can ask questions or talk to each other. |
entry list |
On the right side you will find the menu for the participant list, which you can show and hide. Here you can find all participants of the web conference. |
Function bar |
You will find the function bar in the lower area. Here you can activate / deactivate your microphone, activate / deactivate video sharing , switch to full screen mode and leave the conference. |
Leave web conference
If you leave the web conference via the exit symbol , you will return to the client options. From here you can participate in the web conference again, or you can close the browser window.
