1. General recommendations

  • Cellular phone technology is evolving at a rapid pace. We therefore recommend using an iPhone that supports at least 5G and is not older than 2 years.

1. Restart device

Mandatory step

This step must be carried out correctly.

Don't just change the SIM card on the fly. In any case, restart the device if you want to change the Seabix Mobile SIM card (switch off > change card > switch on)

2. Update carrier settings

Mandatory step

This step must be carried out correctly .

When switching to Seabix Mobile , iPhone will prompt you to update carrier settings . This is a mandatory process. The process takes less than a minute.

In any case, check whether this process has been completed. To do this, proceed as follows:

  • Make sure the iPhone is connected to the network
  • Tap Settings > General > About
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to install the cellular provider update.

3. VoLTE and Wifi calling

4. Enable data roaming

  • Enable data roaming under Settings > Cellular > Data options

5. Reset network settings

Seabix recommendation

We recommend iPhone customers to reset their network settings when switching cellphone providers. The network settings regulate, among other things, details such as changing mobile radio cells, etc.

If you change carriers or have other problems with your iPhone, it can be helpful to reset the network settings. Proceed as described below.

All WLAN settings will also be deleted

Please note that all WLAN settings will also be deleted during this process, unfortunately this cannot be prevented in iOS.

  • Tap Settings > General > Reset
  • Tap "Network Settings"
  • You must now enter the code and confirm that you want to reset the settings.

iPhone backups include network settings

Please note that old network settings may also exist in iPhone backups. If possible, only restore backups that were made after the provider change.
